I'm Jon Ford or Jonboy as so many know me. I am 43 years old single father of 2 sons. I grew up in Clarendon Arkansas hunting on the white and cache rivers and now live in Augusta Arkansas and still enjoy hunting both rivers. Today I spend most of my time afield in the flooded timber of cache river sharing my passion of waterfowl hunting with family and friends. I decided about 8 years ago to carry on my passion and started making duck calls for myself and my friends. I have always tinkered with the calls that I would buy trying to make them sound right for me. Needless to say through my venture the Black Swamp Special was born, a call made for flooded timber where close in calling is what counts the most. I take much pride in the calls that I produce, each one is entirely made by hand in my small shop one at a time resulting in a truly custom made duck call designed to call ducks not judges. Black Swamp Special Calls are meat calls hand made for people that share my passion.
